The Poughkeepsie Tapes

I don't know about you guys, but for a while i've been looking for a movie that could make me go what the fuck and creep me out.
I thought paranormal activity would do that but it was hyped up way too much.
I loved saw and hostel because of all the gore they showed, but it still didn't creep me out.

Then there's this movie.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes.
Here's the plot summary: When hundreds of videotapes showing torture, murder and dismemberment are found in an abandoned house, they reveal a serial killer's decade-long reign of terror and become the most disturbing collection of evidence homicide detectives have ever seen.

It's shot documentary style, interviewing victims and people involved in the case. It also shows the killer's video footage and what he did to the victims. Some of it is just sick.

A couple of friends and I heard about it a few years ago and were pretty excited for it, but it never came to theaters and the dvd release kept getting pushed back. Eventually we got it though.
After watching it I can say I was extremely fucking creeped out.

I went to my kitchen to get some water and just being alone in the dark gave me the worst feeling i've had in a while. Even coming back to my room made me freak out and check behind my door, under my bed and under my desk. I'm actually scared to open my closet.

Here's the trailer.

  1. Fuck scary movies.
I'm paranoid and scared enough as it is, without having to hear about some crazy serial killers.
